Cashier – Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities

Pay: $14–$16 per hour
Up to $1,000 Retention Bonus Available for Eligible Full-Time Employees

Snow’s Family Market is looking for friendly, dependable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Cashiers. We are currently hiring for both full-time and part-time positions.

Cashiers are an important part of our customer service team and are often the first and last employees our customers interact with. While operating the checkout is a primary responsibility, this is not a register-only position. Our cashiers perform a variety of tasks throughout the store based on customer traffic, available time, store needs, and assignments from the manager on duty.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, courteous service.
• Accurately process cash, credit/debit, and other customer transactions.
• Bag groceries and assist customers as needed.
• Answer customer questions and help direct them to products or departments.
• Keep checkout areas clean, organized, and well supplied.
• Stock, straighten, and face merchandise throughout the store.
• Assist with price checks, carry-outs, shopping carts, cleaning, and other general store duties.
• Perform additional store tasks as time allows or as assigned by the manager on duty.
• Assist in other departments or areas of the store when needed.
• Follow store policies regarding cash handling, customer service, safety, and age-restricted sales.
• Work cooperatively with coworkers and managers to help keep the store running smoothly and provide a positive experience for our customers.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful, but not required.
• Friendly and professional attitude.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to perform a variety of duties rather than working exclusively at the checkout.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the normal physical duties associated with grocery retail.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Full-Time & Part-Time Positions

We are currently considering applicants for both full-time and part-time schedules.

Full-time positions are generally scheduled approximately 36–40 hours per week. Part-time hours will vary based on employee availability, scheduling needs, and the needs of the store.

Full-Time Benefits

Eligible full-time employees receive a range of additional benefits, including:

• Premium Pay: Earn an additional $2.00 per hour for Sunday and holiday shifts.
• Time Off Benefits: Paid holiday benefits are available based on store policy and eligibility requirements, plus 1 full week of paid vacation after 1 year of employment.

Full-Time Retention Bonus

Eligible full-time employees may earn up to $1,000 in retention bonuses during their first year of employment:

• $250 after 90 days
• $250 after 6 months
• $500 after 12 months

Retention bonus payments are contingent upon the employee remaining actively employed through the applicable eligibility date and being in good standing, including satisfactory job performance, attendance, and compliance with company policies.
